Connecting Your Custom Domain

Step 1: Verify Domain Ownership

Before you can use your custom domain with TuerSS Mail, you need to verify that you own the domain. To do this:

  1. Log in to your TuerSS Mail account and go to the Settings page.
  2. Enter your custom domain in the "New Domain" field and click "Update Domain".
  3. You will receive a TXT record that you need to add to your domain's DNS settings.

Step 2: Update DNS Records

Once you've verified your domain, you need to update your DNS records to route email to TuerSS Mail servers:

  1. Add an MX record:
    MX @ mail.tuerss.com (Priority: 10)
  2. Add a TXT record for SPF:
    TXT @ "v=spf1 include:spf.tuerss.com ~all"
  3. Add a CNAME record for DKIM:
    CNAME tuerss._domainkey mail.tuerss.com

Step 3: Wait for Propagation

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate. Once the changes have propagated, your custom domain will be fully set up with TuerSS Mail.

Step 4: Test Your Setup

After the DNS changes have propagated, you should test your setup:

  1. Send a test email from your TuerSS Mail account using your custom domain.
  2. Send a test email to your custom domain email address from an external email account.
